Welcome!
Christmas is a time filled with so many activities it is hard to keep up sometimes. Grace Lodge activity department is always looking for fun seasonal things to do.
This year, thanks to our wonderful volunteers and staff, we were able to make Christmas cards!
We also made cut out cookies, just to get our hands in the dough and make a good mess!
Thanks to all the other people who volunteered to make this Christmas a joyous season at Grace Lodge!
Grace Lodge is proud to be the home of a Hodag!
It is claimed that “Rhinelander is the Home of the Hodag, a mythical creature created by Rhinelander pioneer and timber cruiser Gene Shepard in 1896. Although it originated as a hoax, the Hodag became a local legend and the symbol of the City. Many local businesses, as well as the Rhinelander High School sports teams, are named for the Hodag.” This is from the cities website.

The owners of Grace Lodge, Terry and Lynne Friese, have recently purchased at an auction what was termed a “Patriotic Hodag” for our staff and residents to enjoy. Come by and check it out next time you are in the area!
At certain times during the year Grace Lodge is visited by a wonderful man.
Why wonderful? Because he come bearing gifts! Well, he comes showing off gifts that are available to purchase.
He sets up a display, like this:
Residents (and Staff) enjoy looking at the various items for sale. You simply fill out the included order form with the items you want to purchase and at the appointed time he delivers them! No going out to the busy shopping center and walking around to find a gift for your loved ones. What a wonderful service for our Residents!
Grace Lodge is a place where you can have a little fun! We had a mix n’ match day in February and some people had a good time with it.
Just to prove it we have a picture!

Grace Lodge enjoyed some intergenerational interactivity the other day when some children from the Nativity school here in Rhinelander came to visit. Bingo was played for those who desired to. Others bowled on the Nintendo Wii. Our residents enjoyed their interaction with the children and enjoyed the games too!
Grace Lodge enjoys having tea parties. Usually once a month we have one whenever we can come up with an excuse to do so.
February’s excuse was Valentines day. Mary cooked up some delicious desserts and brewed up some tea and had a grand old time in the dining room! Thanks also to our volunteers who played some music and helped her serve it as well!
